Data Protection Information

I. General

Dear user of myTelio services, we would like to give you a brief overview of the way in which we process your personal data.

Telio Management GmbH manages your account data. This data is not passed on. If you make a deposit, the booking data will be passed on to the responsible national subsidiary for processing (see country list in the appendix to this data protection information).

In the event that something does not work when using the myTelio services, or you have any other questions and you need our support, we involve the first-level support of the relevant national subsidiary, so as to be able to support you in your national language.

The following data protection information applies to the use of the myTel.io website and the myTelio app (hereinafter referred to as the "myTelio Services").

Personal data is processed in compliance with the applicable data protection regulations. We process your personal data to be able to offer you the myTelio Services mentioned above.

This information describes how and for what purpose your data is processed and what rights you have in connection with your personal data.

We reserve the right to change and update this data protection information from time to time by publishing new data protection information here.

II. Data controller

The data controller which is responsible for processing your personal data is, in principle, BVfon Slovakia s.r.o., Kultúrna 19, 821 02 Bratislava.

In the event that a deposit is made, the data controller is the relevant national subsidiary that is responsible according to the country list in the appendix to this data protection information.

If you want to object to the processing of your data in accordance with this data protection information as a whole, or for individual measures, you can send your objection in writing to the data controller mentioned above.

III. General use of the websites
1. Email contact

If you contact us (e.g., via a contact form or email), we will save your details for the purpose of processing your enquiry and in case any follow-up questions arise. We only store and use other personal data if you give your consent to this, or if we are legally permitted to do so without any special consent.

2. Purpose and duration of retention

The purpose of data collection and processing is, in particular, to ensure the operation and security of the website, to simplify the use of the website and to process your enquiries using our contact forms.

We only store your personal data for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes pursued or as required by law or ordered by an authority.

IV. Your rights as a data subject

Under the applicable laws, you have various rights regarding your personal data. If you would like to assert these rights, please send your request:

Below you will find an overview of your rights.

1. Right to confirmation and access to information

You have the right to receive confirmation from us at any time as to whether your personal data is being processed. Should this be the case, you have the right to request information from us about the personal data stored about you, together with a copy of this data, free of charge. Furthermore, you have the right to the following information:

  • The purposes of the processing
  • The categories of personal data being processed
  • The recipients or categories of recipients to whom the personal data have been or are still being disclosed – in particular, recipients in third countries or international organisations
  • If possible, the planned duration for which the personal data will be stored or, if this is not possible, the criteria for determining this period
  • The existence of a right to rectification or erasure of personal data concerning you, or to restrict the processing by the data controller, or to oppose such processing
  • Where the personal data is not collected from the data subject, any available information as to the source of the data
2. Right to rectification

You have the right to request the rectification of your personal data without any undue delay. Taking into account the purposes of the processing, you have the right to request that any incomplete personal data be completed, including by means of a supplementary declaration.

3. Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten")

You have the right to request that we erase personal data relating to you immediately, and we are obliged to delete personal data immediately if one of the following reasons applies:

  • The personal data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or otherwise processed.
  • You revoke your consent upon which the data processing was based, and there is no other legal basis for processing the data.
  • You expressly object to the data processing, and there are no overriding legitimate reasons for the processing.
  • The personal data was collected and processed illegally.
  • The deletion of your personal data is necessary to fulfil a legal obligation under EU law or the law of the Member States to which we are subject.
  • The personal data has been collected in relation to services offered by an information collection company.

If we have made the personal data public and we are obliged to delete it, we will take appropriate measures, including technical ones, taking into account the available technology and the implementation costs, to inform the data controller responsible for data processing, who processes the personal data, that you have requested the erasure of all links to this personal data or copies or replications of this personal data.

4. Right to restriction of the processing

You have the right to demand from us that the processing of your data be restricted if one of the following conditions is met:

  • The accuracy of your personal information is contested by you for a period of time that allows us to verify the accuracy of your personal information.
  • The processing of the data is unlawful, and you reject the erasure of the personal data and instead demand the restriction of use of the personal data.
  • We no longer need the personal data for the purposes of data processing, but it is required by you to assert, exercise or defend legal claims.
  • You have objected to the processing, as long as it is not yet certain whether the legitimate reasons of our company outweigh yours.
5. Right to data portability

You have the right to receive the personal data concerning you that you have provided to us in a structured, current and machine-readable format, and you have the right to transmit this data to another data controller without our interference, provided that:

  • the processing is based on consent or on a contract; and
  • the processing is carried out using automated processes. In exercising your right to data portability, you have the right to have your personal data transmitted directly from us to another data controller, provided that this is technically feasible.
6. Right to object

You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data at any time for reasons arising from your personal situation; this also applies to any profiling based on these provisions. We will no longer process your personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for processing it that outweigh your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing is only to assert, exercise or defend legal claims.

7. Right to revoke data protection consent

You have the right to revoke consent to the processing of your personal data at any time

V. Data security

We make every effort to ensure the security of your data in accordance with the applicable data protection laws and the technical possibilities at our disposal. Your personal data will be transmitted by us in encrypted form. We use the SSL/TLS coding system, but we would like to point out that data transmission over the Internet (e.g., when communicating by email) can be subject to security vulnerabilities. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible. We also do not guarantee that our website will be available at specific times; disturbances, interruptions or failures cannot be excluded. We regularly and carefully secure the servers we use.

VI. Automated decision making

No automated decisions will be made on the basis of the personal data that we collect.

VII. Disclosure of data to third parties
1. Disclosure within the Telio group

In principle, we only process your personal data within the Telio Group in the EU, in data centres in the EU.

If national subsidiaries process booking data in line with their remit of responsibility, this is done in data centres as listed in the country list (see appendix to this data protection information).

If we involve third parties in the fulfilment of contracts, these third parties will only receive personal data to the extent necessary to perform the corresponding service. In the event that we outsource certain parts of data processing within the EU ("contract processing"), we contractually oblige the processors we contract to use personal data only in accordance with the requirements of the applicable data protection laws, and to ensure the protection of the rights of the data subject in full.

VIII. Data Protection Officer

If you have any questions or concerns about data protection, please contact our Group Data Protection Officer at Data.Protection.Officer@tel.io .
